About Me

Hi , I’m Courtney.  I believe people have the ability to make changes.  My aim is to create a space where you feel supported as we delve into your thoughts, fears, aspirations, and desires, facilitating the journey towards a more fulfilling life. Having lived in four different countries has given me a unique understanding of being an expat, and starting over, particularly in New York City.

How I Work

I am honest, warm, and value feedback, aiming to create trust in our dynamic. I can be direct and also playful. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions rooted in Psychodynamic therapy, which emphasizes exploring early relationships and experiences throughout your life and making connections with patterns and behaviors in your life today. I support individuals and couples. I also work with adult children of alcoholics and those impacted by addiction.

Education and Training

I have a BSc in Psychology from City University, London, and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology, Mental health Counseling from Columbia University. I have also completed a certificate in Eating Disorders, Addictions and Compulsions from the William Allanson White Institute.
